Here is a pair of super rare matched tribal cuffs. They are solid sterling silver and by far the nicest piece from my jewelry collection. I spent 7 years as a professional bellydance costume designer and acquired many stunning pieces along the way. Theyre about 1.5 inches wide and will adjust to fit almost any wrist size. Total weight is 5.3 oz.I snagged these at an estate sale so I cannot confirm their origin, but they appear to be Bedouin, possibly Omani or Yemeni. I have had them looked at by two experts in tribal jewelry who helped me assess their value. Since jewelry design styles spread across the area, and each designer had their own unique way, its difficult to pin it down. They are most likely from around 1940 or older. I have not tested the silver content. They are currently tarnished, as I preferred to wear them, but would shine up to a nice, warm silver if you prefer them polished.
There are a bit of tiny stress fractures from bending the cuffs. They have no clasp so they must be bent to get on and off. One of the bracelets has a slight jingle/rattle noise indicating that theres a stray metal fragment inside one of the cones. These slight flaws are reflected in the price and I tried to photograph the crack clearly. It does not affect the wearability. These are exceedingly rare to find, gorgeous, one of a kind and hand crafted beauties to behold.
