Eduard Cramer was born in 1858 and was originally a tailor by trade. Cramer was known for using only the finest mohair and his toys can easily be compared to Steiff quality of that era. The artistry and craftsmanship is evident when you look at these bunnies. The head and paws of these bunnies are made of white and cream mohair and they have original felt clothing.
Their cheerful outfits are colorful and appealing. They have pretty glass eyes and black floss nose & mouth stitching with airbrushed features. They were made to stand and only their heads and arms are jointed.
Both are firmly stuffed and stand strong with card-lined feet that support them well. Each bunny has its original straw basket on their backs. Both rabbits are in excellent condition for their age and they are clean with no odors. The only wear is light overall fading, very minor mohair wear, and small stains as seen in photos.
They are great to display with any antique stuffed toys year-round, but you'll be especially happy to own them when Easter comes along as they are perfect for a spring display! See all photos that describe them best.
